Elon Musk confirmed: “Tesla is dead, we can’t survive!”

In a recent internal meeting, Elon Musk acknowledged that Tesla’s future faces serious difficulties, with declining revenue and increased competition. While not using the word “dead,” Musk warned that Tesla’s survival was no longer guaranteed .

In the first quarter of 2025, Tesla saw revenue decline 13%, its lowest in nearly three years. In California, Tesla’s largest market in the US, electric car registrations declined 15.1%, with Model Y sales down roughly 30% year-over-year. The reasons include increased competition from rivals like BYD, delayed releases of new versions, and Musk’s political woes.

Elon Musk’s relationship with the Trump administration and controversial actions have negatively affected Tesla’s image. Many investors and customers expressed their disappointment, leading to a decline in share value and revenue sales .

In Europe, Tesla is also facing difficulties. Car sales fell sharply in many countries, with Germany down 62.2%, France down 41.1%, and Spain down 25.7%. However, the United Kingdom is an exception, with sales up 6%. The main reason is opposition to Musk’s political activities.
